Indian academician urges Muslims to strictly follow ideology behind Muslim Unity Week

Professor Basir Ahmed Khan former Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in Delhi said: “Although the impacts of “Muslim Unity Week”, designated by Imam Khomeini (RA) on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), have awakened the Muslims but still the ditch of disunity is not completely filled. And without strictly following the ideological facts of “Muslim Unity Week”, the saviour of Muslims not possible, he added.

Basir noted that the catastrophe, unleashed by the US and Israel, which has engulfed the entire Middle East is a set example of disunity among Muslim nations. “These imperialist and warmongering powers have identified our weakness of pitty differences and exploiting them for creating disunity among Muslims and fulfilling their vested interests. And we, instead of following the Quranic ideology conveyed to us through Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which is the basic tenets of the “Muslim Unity Week”, are following the path of Satanic and Arrogant powers,” noted Indian scholar.

Basir Khan, who is also the former Head of the Department of Islamic Studies in Hamdard University, warned that if Muslims didn’t abide by the ideological facts of the “Muslim Unity Week” it will be difficult to extricate themselves from the catastrophe.

He maintained that the real and precious tribute to the Holy Prophet on this auspicious occasion is to re-dedicate ourselves for forming the unity and brotherhood among world Muslims. Then only we will be able to defeat the sectarian-based repression unleashed by these arrogant powers.
