“Heart of the Quran” Translated into Urdu

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Abdullahiyan, director general of the institute, said that the book “Heart of the Quran” has been translated into the Urdu language following the request made by Indian seminary students and scholars.

Author of the book said that the virtues and lessons of the Surah Ya Sin as well as its influences and principles of Seyr wa Soluk (spiritual journey of the people of intellect) have been claryfied in the book.

Ya Sin is the 36th Surah of the Holy Quran with 83 verses, and is one of the Meccan Suras. It is often referred to as "the Heart of the Quran" in accordance with a well-known hadith of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) who said that “everything has a heart and the heart of the Holy Quran is Ya Sin”.

The author added that the book also mentions some Hadiths of the Holy Prophet urging for recitation of the Surah and clarifying the virtues and influences of this recitation.

With the aim of preventing development of wrong mystical beliefs in India, scholars in this country decided to distribute copies of the book at mosques and other religious places. 2000 copies of the book will be distributed among the seminary students and lecturers in India.

Hojat-ol-Islam Abdullahiyan also introduced some other products of the institute including a Quranic magazine titled “Zekra” which is being compiled by Indian seminary students about Quran interpretations and concepts and published by the institute every year.
