Eid Prayer held at the Islamic Centre

Worshippers attended Eid-ul-Adha prayer at the Islamic Centre of England on Wednesday 17th of November. The prayer conducted by Hujjatul-Islam Fartusi was performed at 9:30 Wednesday morning. Hundreds of worshipers male and female attended this prayer that marks the conclusion of the Hajj (the annual pilgrimage to Mekkah). The Congregational prayer is held across the Muslim world on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Duhl-Hijja by all Muslims regardless of performing the pilgrimage or not.
Muslims will try to wear their nicest clothing and attend Salat-ul-Eid (Eid Prayer) in the morning. Another custom of the Eid day is for people to visit each other`s homes and partake in festive meals with special dishes, beverages, and desserts. Children receive gifts and sweets on this happy occasion.
Eid -ul-Adha is considered one of the main celebrations of the Muslim world.
