Birth Anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA) Celebrated at the Islamic Center of England.
The commemorations were held at the Islamic Center the ceremony held on Saturday night for English-speakers. The program began after the evening prayers with the participation of a large number of Muslims from London.
HIWM Abedi, the Deputy Head of Culture at the Islamic Center spoke on the virtues of Fatima (AS) from the point of view of the Holy Quran with insights into the life of Sadiqah Taherah.
HIWM Adedi described the characteristics of the different names of Hazrat Fatima (AS) and said “Each of the names such as Muhaddath, Raziah, Marziah, Taherah, Siddiqah Kubra, have specific meanings and definitions which have been bestowed upon this great lady of Islam for her unique personality.”
For example Hazrat Fatima (AS) was known as Muhaddath because she was the only child that spoke to her mother before birth, also other than the prophet Mohammad she was the only one that spoke to Gabriel whom she requested to give her knowledge outside of the holy Quran. It is because of these three qualities that she was called Muhaddath.
The Deputy Head of Culture at the Islamic Centre stated “In her era Hazrat Fatima (AS) besides addressing social affairs with the Prophet and Amir al-Mu'minin, also carried the responsibility of motherhood at home.”
HIWM Abedi, referred to the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (AS) as Mother's Day and elaborated on some of the virtues of the daughter of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He stressed that “if you want a model for a good mother and a good wife, you have to refer to Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA)”.
He stressed that “if you are the true lovers of Hazrat Zahra (SA), you have to be modest in every aspect of your life.”
