Muharram commemoration concluded at the Islamic Centre of England
Ceremonies to commemorate the historical event of the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad(s)`s grandson, Imam Husayn (as), started on Saturday the 26th of November.
The Centre will maintain the state of mourning till the Islamic month of Safar is over.

Eid Prayer at the Islamic Centre
Hundreds of worshippers attended the Eid ul Fitr prayer at the Islamic Centre of England. Due to the high volume of people the Islamic Centre arranged for two consecutive congregational prayers to be performed on Wednesday 31th of August.

A group of ten children from the local nursery visited the Islamic Centre of England accompanied by parents and teachers on 7th September 2010.
The group was welcomed by the Islamic Centre’s staff who briefed them on the basic tenets of Islam. The parents and teachers were also informed on the history of the Islamic Centre of England and the services it provides to the community.

A group of local school children visited the Islamic Centre on the 13 of June. Hujjatul Islam Seyyed Razavi talked to them and answered any question they had. After the talk they were taken for a guided tour of the building.

On May 25th a group of American university students came to visit the Islamic Centre of England accompanied by their tutor Dr Pani. The visiting students who are in London for few months on an educational programme are currently studying about “Islam in the West” as one of the modules for their undergraduate degree.
